It's Movember B*tches

Hey there,

Some of you may have heard that today is the start of Movember..

During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on
thousands of men’s faces in the UK and around the world. The aim of which is to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men.

I personally will be rocking the moustache look over the next 30 days and your support would be massively appreciated by simply clicking the donation link and donating anything towards this great cause --> http://mobro.co/TLFFitness

Also throughout November TLF Fitness will be donating £5 per person, per sign up. You can find out more information about joining our Fab Fitcamp by ringing 07873139176

Tomorrow I will be revealing my other personal November challenge where I'm going to be pledging more money towards Movember

Good Luck to all MoBros

Log fires v Metabolism

Answer me this question;

How do you keep a log fire burning all day?

A) Two twigs a day
B) Throw a log on every now & then
C) Intermittent logs throughout the day

What was your answer?

Hopefully it was C, now imagine your metabolism to be the log fire and the twigs/logs are food...

You see by not fuelling your body on a regular basis it leaves you open to snacking on carbs & sugary foods to raise your insulin levels back up.

It's something I like to call pre-emptive eating..

Preemptive eating will keep your insulin at a steady level, eating at regular 3/4 hour slots. Half the time you will be eating when your not hungry!

Preemptive eating can drop you weight by decreasing the need for sugar spikes and you will constantly burn energy, energy comes from stored fat.

....FEED THE FIRE AND KEEP IT BURNNG ALL DAY!

Sorry it's my fault!

Hey Ian here,

Over recent weeks I've become very frustrated with the ' I need to lose weight' community and their inability to do f*ck all about it!

Why post on FaceBook EVERY week - The diet starts Monday
Why complain about the fact the jeans that use to fit you now don't
Why complain about the way you look in a mirror
Why do you never shower praise on someone who has worked their ass off to add years onto their lives, feel better about themselves, give themselves a confidence boost, Become fitter & leaner than ever before instead they are a b*tch for doing the one thing you stop your self from doing!

Ask yourself this why is it everyone else's fault for you being overweight & uncomfortable?

Why is you not having the dedication and a well placed rocket up your arse, Joe Bloggs problem?

Do you have kids?

Do you want to see them grow up, play in the park with them?

Do you have family/friends?

Do you want to be always know as 'the big one'?

Or do you wanna sit at home and feel sorry for yourself?

Hiding away from the world because of what they might say.

Ever hear yourself saying  - I just can't lose weight, I look at food and pile the pounds on, I was born to be fat, It'll take too long to be where I wanna be so whats the point?

All people have issues with their body, show me a person who is comfortable with themselves and how they look and I'll show you a striped pig flying across the sky.

Don't start Monday, start now!

You've had long enough off the wagon, get back on it and make a bloody change for the better. It's never to late to change who you are?

Become your own success story.

Seek advice from professionals and when they tell you to do something  - Fecking do it!!

Let your close friends & family know for moral support, but don't make them feel they have to change their eating plan to accommodate yours. Start learning to say NO

Eat in moderation & follow a 80/20 rule (3 cheats a week)

I will leave you with this maths question....

{Current weight} - {Your weight 12 months ago} = {Weight gained} + {Current weight} = Do you want to be this weight in 12 months time?

Bank Holidays Blues

Hey,

       WOW!!

The final bank holiday Monday of the year has passed already, What was your New Years resolutions, Has it have been achieved?

Let me ask you this....

What did you do this bank holiday weekend?

Drink too much?
Ate too much?

I bet 9/10 people did both - Going through FaceBook I see the usual 'Diet starts tomorrow' status' have appeared. How far back do you think your weekend set you back in terms of your overall target?

I wonder how many fad diets will be in affect this week to make up for the over indulged weekend? How many hours the treadmills will be getting a good battering for? How little calories some people will consume in order to 'even things out?

Do you think this is good for your body?

The body is THE most fascinating thing, the most important thing you are EVER gonna own, why do you feel the need to abuse it?

Giving it too much sugar and salt so it has to overwork to keep you afloat in order for you to enjoy yourself or not putting enough logs on the fire to keep your metabolism ticking over in order to drop weight quickly.

How about this, This week instead of dropping your calories to a body threatening low or just staying entirely of the wagon till next Monday 'because the weeks already started'

Start a fresh NOW - Exercise 3/4 times a week, Eat the right amount of Protein & Carbs, Get plenty of water to rehydrate your body and get yourself back into gear for that New Year's resolution that you've STILL not achieved!

I'm not saying be a complete saint, we all have family parties to attend or birthday meals to go to but do these within moderation.

I'm going to be putting up some really easy, quick & highly effective workouts on my new
YouTube channel soon for you to do at home, so there's no excuses you can't be in them skinny jeans or target dress by the end of September.

Speak Soon
Ian :)

Paleo 28 day challenge

This month I'm doing the 28 day Paleo challenge..

For the people who have never heard of Paleo, it's lifestyle change that consists of eating like the cavemen did - Meat, Fish, Fruit, Veg. It's a very strict diet and I found it hard when I attempted this back in October, I became really ill for and I believe it's down to eating paleo due to the lack of carbs my body is accustomed too.

It's not put me off as I love the concept of eating paleo, meat has to be grass fed, fish has to be wild, local fresh fruit & veg, eggs are to be free range. You can literally eat all day long and lose weight healthly...this can be nothing but good for you!? But in today's world the lack of potatoes, rice & pasta included in the lifestyle makes it hard to follow when being socialable.

So here's what I'm doing throughout Feb....

A 28 day paleo challenge but bending the rules a wee bit and making it easier for more people to change thier eating habits, I'm limiting my carb intake to potato's & spaghetti and only at dinner & tea times, the rest of the day I can eat as MUCH of the following as I want:-

Meat
Fish
Eggs
Fruit
Veg

At the end of the month I will be posting my review of the challenge, my weight loss and some simple meal ideas for you.
